Warm Thatcham Nearing Completion.

This photo is showing the back removable wall in place. There is a roof panel as well that is held in  place with magnets.

Photos are a bit all over the place sorry. Blogger keeps changing and I haven't been blogging enough to keep up with the changes!! I'll add more external photos later. But now that both my boys are at school I have been revelling in all that time to myself!!! So I pulled my litte house out of the corner and got to work. The kitchen and upstairs area have remained mostly unchanged. The garden now has it's daffodils, bluebells and cyclamen. The lounge area more cluttered. Now if I could just shrink myself and all who wish to visit.

  17. Totally Gorgeous!!!! My fav favourite pics are the hedgehog and the shot thru the round window. And am in agreement with others - could just keep flicking through the pics over and over, even though I can go and see it in person! ;-)

  20. How are you lighting it? Regular tape wiring or are you using something else?

  21. This looks gorgeous and cozy, Carrie -- I want to visit! Also wanted to say thank you for the plates -- they arrived safely today and are even prettier in person!

  22. Nina - thank you and I'm so glad the plates arrived and you like them, thank you!! Alessandra - I use wire for lighting. I find it easier and cheaper. I score a channel in the wood, lay down the wire, cover it with masking tape and just stucco over the top. The wire isn't glued in etc so if a light fails I can replace it. Hope this helps!! Everyone else - thank yo for your comments. It means a great deal.

  28. It's really wonderful, such a lovely 'ambience'. I see that you've mentioned removable wall and panel - I bought some tiny round magnets recently intending to do something similar and I've got floorboards held down with double sided scrapbooking tape just in case I need to access the wiring channel underneath - such a problem that in a mini house there's no 'crawl space' ;)
